If you run a small or medium-sized business in Derbyshire or Derby you could be eligible for energy support.
The DE-Carbonise project can help you reduce carbon emissions, save costs and become more sustainable.
This includes free carbon reduction surveys to find opportunities to reduce carbon emissions at your business premises, grants for carbon reduction measures and a range of other carbon reduction support.

Unlocking investment for growth
D2N2, the local enterprise partnership for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire has secured £5 million to help local businesses grow and create new jobs. This new flagship programme provides up to 25% in support of capital investment projects with a minimum overall project value of £200,000. In exceptional circumstances up to £500,000 of grant funding will be made available to projects that can demonstrate real potential to create new jobs.
Priority will be given to the 6 key sectors of the Local Enterprise Partnership:
- bio-science
- food and drink
- construction
- transport equipment manufacture
- low carbon
- the visitor economy
However, all applications that can demonstrate a well thought out business case, significant job creation and value for money will be considered.
Expressions of interest are currently being invited.
Invest to Grow
Invest to Grow is available across the whole of the East Midlands.
The fund offers up to 30% of project costs to help create long term sustainable job growth. Grants and loans are available between £15,000 and £1 million with a minimum project cost of £50,000.
The programme is aimed at growth sectors such as transport equipment manufacturing, medicine and bio-science, construction, food and drink manufacturing, logistics, low carbon, creative industries and visitor economy. Funding is available until 2017.
Derby Enterprise Growth Fund
Capital grants and loans to businesses within Derbyshire and Derby City. £20 million of Regional Growth Fund is available to businesses to grow enterprise and jobs in Derby and its travel to work area.
Applications are invited through the following programmes.
Innovation
Applications are welcomed from enterprises primarily, but not exclusively, in the aerospace, rail and automotive supply chains. Grants can be used to improve products and related services.
Expansion
Enterprises with growth potential across all sectors, including social enterprises, may apply for loans and in some cases grants, for activity that will create and sustain new jobs. This can include capital equipment, site and building infrastructure and costs with relocation from elsewhere in the UK and abroad.
Investment
This programme will make available risk capital and equity for investments in the region of £50,000 to £1 million for high growth potential and early stage businesses where the investment will support the creation and selling of a new product or service.
Markham Vale Enterprise Zone
Junction 29a M1. Enhanced Capital Allowances are available on site.
The Enhanced Capital Allowances will allow those who incur qualifying capital expenditure a 100% capital allowance in the first year of purchasing their assets, as opposed to the 18% that would normally apply. For further information visit Markham Vale.
Derbyshire Business Support Grant Scheme
Funding towards capital or revenue projects with the aim of supporting businesses to, expand, evolve or relocate, helping to create increased investment, growth and job creation. Funding will support improved productivity, technology, systems, supply chain and skills development within businesses.
